These terms apply when you use mrupreceptor.com or ask us for placement help. They set out what we are, what MRU decides, what we cannot promise and what stays your responsibility as an MRU student.

Accepting these terms
By using this site, sending a form, starting a chat or messaging us, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site or our service.
An independent service
MRU Preceptor is an independent placement service. We are not part of Miami Regional University, nothing on this site is an MRU publication, and nothing we say speaks for MRU. Our work is to search for preceptors and clinical sites that fit a student's MRU course, help the student gather what MRU checks before approving a preceptor, and search again if a preceptor drops out.
MRU approves every preceptor
MRU approves every preceptor and clinical arrangement for its students. We do not approve preceptors or sites, we do not take part in MRU's decisions, and we cannot overturn, speed up or influence them. When MRU declines a preceptor, that decision stands.
No promised outcomes
We do not promise that we will find a preceptor or site for you, that MRU will approve a preceptor we identify, or that a placement will start or finish by any particular date. Preceptors are independent clinicians who may decline, change their availability or withdraw, and clinical sites and health systems apply their own rules.
Your responsibilities as an MRU student
You remain responsible for meeting MRU's requirements and deadlines, whether or not we are helping you. That includes, among other things:
- Registering for your courses and meeting MRU's add/drop and withdrawal deadlines
- Completing your clinical clearance, background check, drug screens and immunizations
- Providing proof of liability insurance when MRU requires it
- Submitting your preceptor for MRU approval and waiting for approval before any clinical hours
- Keeping accurate logs, case lists and documentation, and getting your end-of-course evaluation signed by the course's last day
- Following the nursing student handbook, your syllabus and the rules of your clinical site
Tell us the truth about your program, your course and your situation. Only ever record hours and encounters you actually completed; we will not help anyone misrepresent clinical work.
Fees
Fees for placement help are quoted to each student individually before work begins, and the quote sets out what it covers. Nothing on this site is a price list. Any offer shown on the site applies on the terms stated with it and in your quote.
Information on this site
We check our pages against MRU's catalog, addenda and program pages and against official Florida sources, but MRU can change its rules at any time, and some details are published only in the nursing student handbook on the student portal. Where our pages and MRU's documents differ, MRU's documents apply. Nothing on this site is legal or academic advice.
Contact and messages
Contacting us means you consent to replies by email, by phone call or by text. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how to ask us to delete it.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site's forms, chat or messaging to send someone else's details without their permission, to send unlawful or abusive content, or to interfere with the site. We may stop responding to anyone who misuses them.
Limits of our responsibility
As far as the law permits, we are not responsible for decisions made by MRU, preceptors, clinical sites or health systems, or for losses that follow from them, such as a delayed course, a failed course or a later graduation date.
