Who we are
We are an independent placement team, and Miami Regional University's clinical process is our specialty. MRU makes its own academic decisions and gives the final approval on every preceptor; we make sure the preceptor and site that reach MRU are well matched, fully documented and ready for its review.
Our work grew out of a single MRU rule. The catalog tells nurse practitioner students that they are required to secure their own preceptor, and a student who cannot is appointed one by MRU for an additional fee. For a nurse juggling shifts, family and a semester that starts on a fixed date, finding a willing, qualified preceptor is hard to fit in. That search is the work we take on, and we do it thoroughly.

- A clearance plan that stays in your control. Your American Data Bank account, background check, drug screens, immunizations and insurance remain yours, and we flag how each one lines up with your preceptorship dates.

Who we help, and where
We work with students in MRU's preceptor-based programs: the MSN-FNP, the three NP post-master's certificates (FNP, PMHNP and AGACNP) and the new leadership MSN. RN-to-BSN and DNP students are welcome to ask too, although MRU describes their practicum arrangements differently.
For ASN, BSN and MSN Direct Entry students, MRU holds clinicals at contracted externship agencies, so there is usually no preceptor for us to find. We point those students to the right MRU office instead.
We start in South Florida, across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, and work wherever MRU's online students live, which MRU limits to Florida and SARA member states. Our state guides cover each one.
How we keep our information accurate
Everything we publish about MRU comes from MRU's own documents: the Volume X 2025 catalog, the addenda issued since then (the latest in September 2026) and its program pages. For Florida law we rely on the Board of Nursing's rules.
Where MRU does not publish something, such as preceptor qualifications, form names or approval times, we say so rather than fill the gap. The nursing student handbook on the student portal and MRU's Office of Academic Affairs have the final word. The MRU clinical systems guide and the programs guide are good places to start reading, and if you spot something out of date, tell us through the contact page.

Are you part of Miami Regional University?
We are an independent placement service built around MRU's clinical process. MRU makes its own decisions and approves every preceptor, and its catalog, addenda and nursing student handbook set the rules. We know those rules closely and work inside them for you, so the preceptor details MRU reviews are complete and in order when they arrive.
Can you help if I already have a preceptor lined up?
Yes. If a preceptor has agreed in principle, we can help you gather the details and credentials MRU checks before approval, and stay on call in case plans change. If MRU declines that preceptor, we can start a search for someone who fits the same course.
How do you choose which preceptors to suggest?
By the course first, then location and schedule. A preceptor has to fit the patients and setting that MRU's course describes, be licensed where the site is (a Florida license for a Florida site), and have enough time to supervise the course's hours before its last day. MRU then decides whether to approve.
What does a placement advisor actually do?
A placement advisor reads your request, confirms which MRU course you need a preceptor for, and runs the search: finding practices that fit the course, asking whether they can take a student, and collecting the details MRU checks. The advisor stays your contact if plans change partway through the course.
Do you publish placement statistics or testimonials?
Our pages stick to MRU's own rules and facts we can check, rather than headline rates or quotes. Every student's course, location and start date differ, and MRU gives the final approval, so a general figure would say little about your own search. Ask about your course and area instead, and a placement advisor will give you a specific, plain picture of what that search involves.
